This draft describes the site as it will run when we launch, including buyer accounts, which are not switched on yet.
1. The short version
This website uses a few small files, called cookies, and some storage in your browser. They make the site work or remember a choice you made. We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, and nothing from a third party is loaded when you open a page. The one exception is the how-to-order video on the home page, which is loaded from YouTube only if you press play (see “Fonts, the video and other third parties” below).
Because of that, we do not show a cookie banner. If we ever add analytics, we will update this notice first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
2. What we use

3. Why we do not ask first
The cookies above either are needed to give you something you asked for (your quote list, staying signed in) or only remember a display choice (language, currency, theme, layout). The law lets us use these without asking first, as long as we tell you clearly what they are and you can say no to the display ones. This page is that information. The video is different: it is not needed to use the site, so nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play, which is your choice.
4. Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the quote-list or sign-in cookies, those features will not work.
The language, currency and display cookies are only a convenience. If you block or delete them, the site still works; it just forgets your choice. If you would rather we did not save the currency or display choice, do not use those switches, or delete the cookies whenever you like.
5. Fonts, the video and other third parties
The fonts are served from our own website, not from Google, so loading them does not send your address to anyone else. The how-to-order video on the home page is a YouTube video (Google), shown in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. The page loads a still picture with a play button and requests nothing from YouTube. Only when you press play does your browser connect to YouTube and Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and technical details of your browser and may set cookies or use storage on your device, as set out in YouTube’s own privacy policy. If you would rather not, do not press play: the site works the same without it. We do not use social media buttons, advertising networks or analytics services on this site.
